The donair poutine is AMAZING. The portions are generous which makes it ideal for sharing. The beef donair with cheese is also good. You have to eat is quickly or else it can get soggy.
The staff are always friendly and for the most part the food is always quick. It would be awesome if simply had a drive thru. -

I have heard about them, read the YELP reviews and thought I would give them a try as we were in the area. Not our top 1 choice for a donair with sweet sauce and chicken donair with grilled sauce but not bad either. It is a family run business- the couple and their son are pleasant and quick in putting the orders together.
We will definitely give them another try when they move to their new location. What I and my husband loved the most was their fries seasoning- just wow. Not spicy, not salty, simply amazing. I am pretty sure they make it in house, too. The portions are generous- I could not finish the small size I ordered and my husband had left overs from his regular size donair. -

Simply the best! Best Donairs anywhere hands down! They definitely don't cheap out on the meat/cheese at this donair shop. Friendly, family run business located in a new location by Save-On-Foods/Wendy's in St Albert. Once you try their Donairs you won't want to get them anywhere else.

It's hard to believe that I've been coming here since my 2nd was born and he's now almost 6!
Last time I reviewed them was 2012 so an update is most definitely due!
Simply Donairs continues to be outstanding run by the same people and he prices have hardly increased.
Our go to order these days:
Large mixed (chicken/beef) with cheese and lots of hot sauce (on the grill) and a large donair poutine.
I usually get part of the Donair poutine on the side plain for my son because he just wants meat and fries with seasoning salt.
We've eaten at a few other Donair Shops but this is consistently the one requested by my kiddos. Maybe it has to do with the free lollipops for kiddos? ;-)
Either way, I'm sure we'll still be coming here 6 years from now! -

Awesome donair spot in St. Albert. The beef donair with cheese is my go to. I always order the medium, it's more than enough and I'm a big eater. Have had the donair poutine before as well and it is delicious.
I am not a fan of the chicken donair. It looks delicious and I have tried it twice... both times I found the meat to be very salty and lacking the flavour of the beef. As well, the fries and onion rings tend to be hit or miss. Last night we ordered a half & half of fries and rings and they were very overlooked. This has happened before.
Stick to the beef donairs or donair poutine and you won't be disappointed. Rivals anything in Edmonton... the only spot I like as much in the city is Simon King.
